UHY-US is seeking an Audit Senior Manager to lead and direct audit engagements across diverse clients from a central New York region. You will oversee planning, execution, reviews, and staffing, while maintaining high-quality standards and client service.

The role emphasizes deep GAAP knowledge, regulatory awareness, and mentoring a team of managers, seniors, and staff. Frequent travel and performance of advanced audits are expected in a dynamic professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• CPA license required; equivalent IT audit certifications acceptable.
• Experience with Gaming, Casinos, Digital Currency, Blockchain, Crypto.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of audit professionals across engagements, ensuring timelines, budgets, and standards are met.
• Cultivate strong client relationships and act as primary contact for audit engagements.
• Develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee execution, reviews, and application of GAAP and auditing standards.
• Mentor and develop the audit team, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
• Ensure audit documentation and reports meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for business development and client service expansion.
• Assess and manage risks associated with audit engagements and mitigations.
• Stay current on accounting standards and industry trends and contribute to thought leadership.
• Supervise subordinate team members; maintain a professional work environment.
