Job summary

Capital One is seeking an energetic Audit Manager for the Commercial Bank, in a hybrid role with three days in office per week. The successful candidate will oversee operational and compliance audits of the commercial banking portfolio, ensuring alignment with ethical standards and Capital One’s governance framework.

Responsibilities include leading complex audits, risk assessments, and engagement planning, with a focus on data analytics integration and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience required.
• 5+ years of auditing experience in commercial banking or financial services.
• 3+ years leading audit engagements or project management.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or MBA preferred.
• CIA, CPA, or CRCM certifications preferred.
• 6+ years of auditing commercial banking portfolios preferred.
• 1+ years of experience with data analytics tools in support of internal audit.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the assigned audit universe for updates.
• Lead large, complex business unit and project audits.
• Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs for risk coverage.
• Design and execute internal control testing with audit expertise.
• Communicate audit scope, issues, risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage timely and high-quality delivery of multiple audits and projects.
• Coach and mentor audit staff; provide feedback and training.
• Build relationships with key business and audit partners.
