Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking a Senior Audit Data Analyst to join the Internal Audit Data Analytics team. You will use data analytics and technology to support audit testing, evaluate risks and controls, and deliver data-driven insights across the organization.

You will partner with audit teams, business units, and technology partners to understand objectives, identify data, and develop analytical solutions that improve audit coverage and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of data analytics, audit analytics, technology, risk management, or internal audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with audit teams to understand objectives, risks, processes, and controls and translate them into data-driven testing approaches.
• Obtain, analyze, and validate large and complex datasets used to support audit engagements.
• Develop testing populations and analytical procedures to evaluate risks and internal controls.
• Use SQL and other analytics tools to identify exceptions, patterns, and insights relevant to audit objectives.
• Develop repeatable analytical solutions to improve audit testing efficiency and consistency.
• Support continuous auditing activities through population analysis, exception identification, and trend reporting.
• Evaluate data quality, transformation logic, and fitness for audit purposes; document work performed.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Document methodology, testing logic, assumptions, results, and conclusions clearly for stakeholders.
• Communicate analytical findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and business partners.
• Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with other analysts.
• Contribute to analytics standards, reusable code, and testing libraries.
