Whitley Penn, an national public accounting firm, seeks an Audit Senior Associate in Fort Worth. You will lead audits, develop client relationships, and supervise staff. CPA or CPA eligibility with in-progress certification is required, with 2+ years of external audit experience and a bachelor’s in accounting (master’s preferred).

This full-time, in-office role offers opportunities to contribute to proposals, networking, and recruiting while applying GAAP/GAAS in diverse client engagements.

Qualifications

• Public accounting external audit experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
• CPA certification or CPA eligibility with certification in progress.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead engagements and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, and meeting deadlines.
• Develop client relationships and understand operations to improve engagements.
• Manage deadlines, monitor budget, and communicate engagement status to managers.
• Supervise and mentor associates and interns, reviewing staff work papers.
• Stay current on GAAS and apply standards to engagements.
• Assist with business proposals, networking, and recruiting opportunities.
