Job summary

PKF O'Connor Davies is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join the Newtown Square, PA office. You will oversee multiple client audit engagements, directing planning and fieldwork while guiding staff and ensuring quality within budgets.

The role requires CPA progression, 3+ years in public accounting, and strong communication with clients. Travel to client sites is expected, with in-office presence at least 3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a public accounting firm auditing financial statements.
• Experience as in-charge on engagements.
• CPA certification or demonstrated progress towards CPA certification (150 credits).
• Excellent analytical, technical and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Travel to client locations required.
• Must be able to work in office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efforts of multiple commercial client audit and review engagements and manage within time budgets.
• Apply technical skills and identify improvements, sharing best practices with other clients.
• Research complex accounting topics and form conclusions using firm resources.
• Maintain active client communication to manage expectations and satisfaction.
• Identify and communicate improvements to client internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Understand internal control deficiencies and develop comments for management letters.
• Prepare financial reports and client deliverables.
• Adhere to high professional standards and client confidentiality.
• Lead audit engagement planning to wrap-up and develop audit steps to identify risks.
• Manage engagement staff to meet deadlines and provide training.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
