Job summary

PKF O’Connor Davies is seeking an Audit Associate to support audit teams across government, not-for-profit, HUD, commercial and financial services clients. The role involves planning, risk assessment, testing internal controls, and assisting in financial statement preparation under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree, is on track to CPA eligibility, and demonstrates strong Excel/Word proficiency, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Knowledge of auditing, GAAP/GAAS, and related computer applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in audit planning, strategy development and review for clients across various industries.
• Perform internal control testing and document deficiencies for management letters.
• Contribute to risk assessment and completion of related forms.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and supplemental information.
• Communicate findings clearly and develop professional writing skills.
• Travel locally to client sites 80%+ with access to transportation.
