Job summary

Jobot is seeking a leader for governmental audit engagements in a hybrid work environment in the United States. The role focuses on managing audits of municipalities, school districts, housing authorities, and other public bodies, while ensuring adherence to GAAS, GASB, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-charge on audit engagements for governmental entities
• Plan, supervise, and oversee audits for municipalities, school districts, housing authorities, municipal utilities, and other public authorities
• Ensure compliance with GAAS, GASB, Yellow Book, and Single Audit standards
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports for quality and accuracy
• Act as the primary client contact and manage ongoing client relationships
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and deliverables
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior associates
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and technical guidance
• Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and best practices to clients and leadership
• Stay current on governmental accounting regulations and auditing standards
• Support efficient execution and completion of multiple audit engagements simultaneously
