Goodwin Recruiting in San Francisco is seeking an Audit Manager to lead complex accounting and financial reporting projects for Fortune 1000 and large-cap clients. This high-growth advisory firm offers accelerated career growth beyond traditional public accounting and exposure to strategic consulting initiatives.

You will partner with CFOs and finance leaders, manage planning through execution, support IPO readiness and M&A, and travel 25-60% as needed in client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 6+ years of external audit experience with a Big Four or nationally recognized public accounting firm.
• Minimum 3 busy seasons serving as a Senior Audit Associate, Senior Auditor, or Senior Associate.
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification, with experience supporting public companies or large revenues.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, pivot tables, and financial analysis; modeling is a plus.
• Lead accounting and financial reporting projects for Fortune 1000/large-cap clients.
• Support IPO readiness, M&A, carve-outs, and transformation initiatives.
• Travel approx. 25-60% within the market.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial reporting projects from planning through execution.
• Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors, and leadership.
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting deliverables compliant with U.S. GAAP.
• Participate in client presentations and business development activities.
• Support IPO readiness, M&A, and alliances as needed.
