Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Senior Audit Associate in Denver, CO to work with Fortune 1000 and large-cap clients on complex accounting, finance, and business transformation initiatives, enabling accelerated career growth beyond traditional public accounting. You will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ external audit years at a Big Four or national firm, strong U.S.

GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and comfort with 25–60% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years external audit experience with Big Four or nationally recognized firm.
• 3 busy seasons as Senior Audit Associate/Senior Auditor/Senior Associate.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and FASB standards.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables; financial modeling is a plus.
• Lead accounting and financial reporting projects for Fortune 1000 and large-cap organizations.
• Support IPO readiness, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, technical accounting, and reporting transformation.
• Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors, and executives to solve complex challenges.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reporting per GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in client presentations, BD activities, recruiting, and internal leadership programs.
• Willingness to travel ~25–60% within market and surrounding locations.

Responsibilities

• Work with Fortune 1000 and large-cap clients on complex accounting and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in strategic consulting and financial advisory projects beyond traditional audit.
• Lead planning through execution of accounting and reporting projects.
• Support IPO readiness, M&A activity, carve-outs, and technical accounting initiatives.
• Collaborate with CFOs and senior finance leadership to solve complex accounting challenges.
• Deliver high-quality financial reporting and ensure GAAP compliance.
