Job summary

Bose Corporation, U.S.A. seeks a Senior Audio Systems Engineer to create next‑gen audio experiences for consumer technologies. You will develop reusable architectures, evaluate prototypes, and lead cross‑functional efforts from concept to product readiness.

You will work across acoustics, DSP, psychoacoustics, transducers, and system engineering, collaborating with researchers, product teams, and business leaders to mature promising technologies for Bose platforms and partner applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in audio system development, acoustical engineering, DSP, or consumer audio.
• Strong foundation in DSP, acoustics, psychoacoustics, and transducer fundamentals.
• Experience defining audio-system architectures balancing acoustics, signal processing, transducers, electronics, software, and mechanical constraints.
• Hands-on experience designing, integrating, measuring, tuning, and troubleshooting high‑performance audio systems.

Responsibilities

• Explore consumer needs and translate insights into experience concepts and requirements.
• Define reusable audio-system architectures and integration approaches for multiple products and partners.
• Design, tune, and evaluate prototypes across various consumer form factors.
• Develop and evaluate signal-processing approaches to improve audio performance.
• Conduct acoustic measurements and perceptual evaluation to guide technical improvements.
• Collaborate across DSP, controls, acoustics, electrical, mechanical, and software teams to optimize system performance.
• Define requirements for speakers, microphones, and related acoustic structures.
• Identify system-level tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities early in development.
• Present results and recommendations through reviews and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership guiding system-level direction within cross-functional teams.
