The California High-Speed Rail Authority in Sacramento is seeking an Attorney Supervisor to supervise, plan, and review the work of a subset of the Authority’s legal staff, while handling the most sensitive and complex matters.

You will provide legal analysis and advice on real property, third-party, and environmental or construction issues, coordinate with outside counsel, and assist in ensuring favorable outcomes for the project.

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Supervise and direct a subset of the Authority's legal staff.
• Provide legal analysis, advice, and representation on a wide range of complex matters affecting policies and administration, especially real property, third parties, and environmental or construction issues.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and agencies to manage litigation and complex issues.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and prepare state contracts and related documents.
• Advise on statutes, policies, and regulations affecting the Authority.
• Present information to a board or executive-level staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive documents.
