Children's Law Center of California is seeking an Attorney Supervisor who will support and supervise case-carrying attorneys and staff under the Firm Director. The role emphasizes fidelity to our mission, policy implementation, quality improvement, and strategic goals.

The successful candidate will guide workloads, provide feedback, and contribute to management initiatives. Required: 5+ years in dependency law, a JD, California Bar membership.

Qualifikationen

• At least 5 years of experience practicing dependency law.
• Juris Doctor degree.
• Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
• Management, supervisory, and training experience preferred.
• CWLS certification may be considered as one factor in selection.

Aufgaben

• Supervise, assist, and advise case-carrying attorneys in substantive and procedural law, litigation, case strategies, and office policies.
• Arrange caseload and courtroom coverage; assign, balance workloads and pick-up days with the supervisory team.
• Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and training opportunities to new hires and staff.
• Evaluate attorney performance and implement Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
• Contribute to the performance review process and supervise law clerk performance as requested.
• Communicate with secretarial, investigative, and support staff regarding clerical and case needs.
• Respond to concerns and feedback from attorneys and staff about performance.
• Participate in interviews for new/promotional positions and attend Management Team meetings.
