Job summary

Childrens Law Center of California is seeking an Attorney in a full-time role focusing on dependency law. The attorney will represent clients in and out of court, draft motions and briefs, and coordinate multidisciplinary resources to ensure the best interests of children.

A California Bar license and strong advocacy are required. Salary ranges from $88,510 to $118,946 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

Licensed attorney in California or pending admission with state bar status as required.
Prior experience in dependency law or trial experience preferred.
Strong advocacy and research skills, ability to prepare motions and briefs.
Excellent client communication and cultural sensitivity.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Assess critical issues in each case and advocate for clients in court and outside.
Prepare motions, briefs, and memoranda of law; timely filing.
Coordinate with educational, medical, and social service resources as needed.
Develop relationships with clients, caregivers, and diverse communities with sensitivity.
Maintain accurate case records, calendars, and court paperwork.
Stay informed on evolving social dynamics and legal standards.
