Job summary

The Florida Public Service Commission in Tallahassee seeks a Senior Attorney to join the Office of General Counsel. The position is SES - Open Competitive, with a salary range of $60,015 to $85,000 and located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Applicants must be admitted to the Florida Bar with at least two years of professional legal experience and possess a strong working knowledge of the Florida APA, the Uniform Rules of Procedures, Florida Civil Procedure, and the Florida Evidence Code.

Qualifications

• Admitted to The Florida Bar with two years of professional legal experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Florida APA, Uniform Rules of Procedure, Florida Civil Procedure, and Florida Evidence Code.
• Ability to evaluate issues, conduct complex research, and apply findings.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Economic Regulation Section of the Office of General Counsel.
• Appear before the FPSC on matters involving ratemaking, certification, and territorial issues.
• Conduct investigations and discovery; present evidence and advocate positions at hearings.
