Job summary

The Office of Financial Regulation in Florida seeks an OPS Attorney to perform legal work in criminal or civil litigation, prepare pleadings, and advise agency personnel on regulatory matters. This is a temporary position.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Jurisprudence required from ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be a member of the Florida Bar.
  • Two or more years of professional legal experience.
  • Preference for experience in administrative law.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the State of Florida in criminal or civil litigation and administrative proceedings.
  • Draft proposed orders, statements, and related documents.
  • Provide legal advice to agency personnel on policies and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and advise on statutory interpretations and rulemaking.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and law enforcement as needed.
  • Utilize REAL System for time-tracking and case management.
