Job summary

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) is required.
Members of the Florida Bar in good standing.
Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research, teaching law, or in judicial or administrative hearings.
Responsibilities
Serve as a backup to the Department Litigation Attorney, including assisting outside counsel for the Department with discovery, legal research, and review of dispositive motions.
Advise Department Leadership at all stages of litigation and settlement negotiations.
Assist in drafting and reviewing discovery requests and discovery responses for outside counsel; create, configure, and maintain eDiscovery cases within Microsoft Purview; perform email searches and redact emails for litigation and records requests.
Represent the Department in litigation in federal courts, state courts, and forums when needed.
