Qualifications

• Knowledge of litigation and civil rules of procedure and Government in the Sunshine Law.
• Principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in defense of the Department or prosecution of its rights in federal and state courts; conduct legal research.
• Travel to assigned districts to conduct discovery, attend hearings, and try cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to agency personnel and advise on legal strategies.
