Datavant, a data collaboration platform for healthcare, seeks an Atlassian Platform Architect to own Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and the broader Atlassian ecosystem. Qualifications

• 6-8 years experience leading Jira and Atlassian ecosystem within large/complex organisations.
• Deep hands-on Jira Cloud and JSM expertise across workflows, permissions, automation, and project config.
• Experience defining enterprise architecture, platform governance, roadmaps and reusable design patterns.
• Experience designing JSM and ITSM solutions aligned with ITIL practices and an enterprise IT operating model.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian Cloud identity and security, including SAML, SSO, SCIM, provisioning and access controls.
• Direct experience working with HIPAA and FedRAMP requirements translating them into practical platform controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to bridge strategy and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture, technical strategy and prioritized roadmap for Jira, JSM, Confluence and the wider Atlassian ecosystem.
• Establish enterprise standards for data models, workflows, schemes, fields, permissions, automation, integrations, reporting and naming conventions.
• Take ownership of platform health and lead remediation of configuration sprawl, technical debt, duplicates and inconsistent patterns.
• Design and implement complex solutions using Jira Automation, REST APIs, webhooks and marketplace apps.
• Define JSM and ITSM architecture supporting service requests, incidents, problems, changes, knowledge and asset management.
• Establish integration standards covering APIs, identity systems, authentication, data ownership, monitoring and recovery.
• Define security, privacy, availability, recoverability, performance, data-retention and audit requirements.
• Introduce architecture reviews and lifecycle-management processes to protect the platform while enabling delivery.
• Lead major platform remediation, consolidation, migration, redesign and integration initiatives.
• Evaluate Marketplace applications and Atlassian capabilities, including Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo, for security, cost and maintainability.
• Partner with IT, Security, Privacy, Compliance, Enterprise Systems, Product and Engineering to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to Jira admins by reviewing changes, establishing reusable patterns and mentoring the team.
• Act as the senior escalation point for architectural issues and significant platform risks.
• Support licensing, application rationalization, vendor decisions and platform investment planning.
