Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Atlassian Platform Architect to lead the Jira/JSM/Confluence roadmap and governance for our enterprise ecosystem. You will design target architecture, set standards, and drive secure, scalable solutions across the Atlassian stack.

You will mentor Jira admins, own high‑risk changes, and partner with IT, Security, Compliance and Engineering to translate requirements into reusable patterns and resilient delivery.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years experience leading Jira and Atlassian ecosystem in large/complex orgs.
• Hands-on Jira Cloud/JSM expertise across workflows, permissions, automation.
• Strong experience with Forge, REST APIs, webhooks and integrations.
• Experience defining architecture, governance, roadmaps and reusable patterns.
• Experience designing JSM/ITSM solutions aligned with ITIL.
• Knowledge of Atlassian Cloud security, SAML, SSO, SCIM and access controls.
• Direct HIPAA and FedRAMP experience and platform controls.
• Ability to drive remediation, migration and transformation initiatives.
• Experience evaluating Marketplace apps and Atlassian extensions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture and roadmap for Jira/JSM/Confluence.
• Establish enterprise standards for data models, workflows, permissions and automation.
• Lead platform health, remediation of debt, and consolidation efforts.
• Design solutions using Jira Automation, Rovo, ScriptRunner, REST APIs and webhooks.
• Define JSM/ITSM architecture supporting requests, incidents, changes and assets.
• Set integration standards for APIs, identity, monitoring and recovery.
• Define security, privacy, availability, performance and data-retention requirements.
• Introduce architecture reviews and lifecycle-management processes.
• Lead major remediation, migration, redesign and integration initiatives.
• Partner with IT, Security, Compliance, Product and Engineering.
