Job summary

Utah State University seeks a Senior Development Officer of Major Gifts for Athletics to provide strategic leadership for the Major Gifts Program and expand the Blue A Society into a comprehensive giving society. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects while guiding proposals to meet annual fundraising goals.

You will work with athletics leadership, central advancement, and university administrators to strengthen donor relationships and advance fundraising

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of fundraising, advancement, development, or related sales experience with a track record of securing major gifts.
• Experience managing donor and prospect portfolios and collaborating across university units.
• Experience in collegiate athletics fundraising is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the major gift team and the Blue A Society.
• Develop and execute strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Meet annual fundraising and revenue goals and report progress to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with athletics leadership, coaches, central advancement, and university administrators.
