Job summary

Stanford University is seeking an Executive Associate Athletics Director for Sport Administration to lead the Sports Administration Team and oversee multiple varsity programs within DAPER. The role reports to the Deputy Director and focuses on strategic alignment, student-athlete success, and program excellence.

You will manage budgets, ensure NCAA/ACC compliance, recruit and evaluate coaches, and collaborate with academic support, sports medicine, and student services.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of collegiate athletics administration experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple varsity programs and working with head coaches.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations and governance.
• Strong budgeting, strategic planning, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff and lead the Sports Administration team to achieve the organization's goals.
• Oversee multiple varsity sport programs, ensuring compliance with NCAA/ACC and policies.
• Lead recruiting and performance evaluation of coaches and athletic staff.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation for assigned sports.
• Collaborate with academic support, sports medicine, and student-athlete development.
• Travel to NCAA championships and major events as required.
