Job summary

Stanford University’s Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) seeks a Director of Student-Athlete Alumni Strategy & Engagement to build an integrated alumni ecosystem that supports student-athletes from recruit to engaged alum and strengthens partnerships with employers, campus and industry leaders.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the role leads strategic programs, mentorship initiatives, and external engagement, guiding resources and budget to advance Stanford

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in athletics administration, alumni engagement, or related fields.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong strategic, organizational and project management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of an alumni function including communications and member services.
• Lead and develop alumni relations staff with coaching and mentoring.
• Set departmental budget and align goals with the organization.
• Develop strategic plans and policies for alumni programs and events.
• Collaborate with campus partners to advance university initiatives.
