Job summary

The United Football League (UFL) seeks a Head Athletic Trainer for a fixed-term assignment in Arlington, TX. This onsite role reports to the Director, Health & Wellness and will supervise two Assistant Athletic Trainers to deliver top-tier medical care to players and staff.

The position runs February 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027, requiring travel in season and coordination with team physicians. Qualifications include a bachelor’s in athletic training, BOC cert, TX licensure, CPR/AED, and 3+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer
• BOC certification and TX licensure (or eligible)
• CPR/AED certification
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day athletic training operations for the assigned team
• Promote athlete health and safety and collaborate with medical staff
• Document medical information and maintain confidentiality per standards
• Coordinate physician coverage and manage medical documentation
• Assist with injury prevention strategies and return-to-sport planning
• Travel regularly with team during the season
