Job summary
CEXEC, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead documentation for FAA ATC voice communications, acting as Book Boss for Technical Specifications and IRDs.
You will own development, delivery, and lifecycle management of critical engineering documents used across FAA programs. You will bridge operational needs and technical execution, working with FAA personnel, test teams, and vendors to ensure compliant, reliable, and interoperable voice systems, including ED-137 governance and SIP-based
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ATC voice communications architecture and VCS/VoIP systems.
- Experience defining interfaces and system requirements for aviation communications.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end voice path performance metrics.
- Expertise with ED-137 and SIP/RFC standards.
- Familiarity with aviation/government engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Own FAA Technical Specifications and IRDs for ATC voice communications.
- Ensure alignment between Specs and IRDs across FAA programs.
- Coordinate with FAA users and vendors to refine requirements.
- Support ICD reviews and vendor system design evaluations.
- Collaborate with test teams to ensure requirements are testable.
