Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a software infrastructure engineer in the Seattle area. The role focuses on maintaining scalable, asynchronous infrastructure, improving reliability, and automating operations across cloud environments.

Requires 5+ years in software development, automation, and systems engineering with Go or Python, and experience with AWS/GCP/Azure. Hybrid work model with in-office presence 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, automation and systems engineering.
• Experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Experience with Go or Python and cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze metrics from operating systems, control planes and applications for fault detection and performance.
• Design, develop and deploy tooling to improve reliability, scalability and efficiency of the platform.
• Balance feature speed and reliability with service-level objectives.
• Operate and improve infrastructure using industry best practices and tools.
• Participate in design reviews, platform management and capacity planning with cross-functional teams.
• Document infrastructure operations and automate repetitive tasks where possible.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents.
