Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group seeks an experienced Assurance Manager in Cary, NC to lead and manage engagements, mentor staff, and communicate directly with clients to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities include planning engagements, supervising teams, meeting budgets and deadlines, and strengthening client relationships through proactive leadership and strong GAAP practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license required.
• 5–12 years of public accounting experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with multitasking ability.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assurance engagements and mentor staff.
• Communicate directly with clients and ensure delivery of high-quality service.
• Plan, organize, and manage time across engagements.
• Oversee timely completion of projects within budgets and deadlines.
• Keep engagement teams informed on project status and realization goals.
• Identify client issues and clarify service responsibilities.
• Review staff workpapers and supervise tasks as directed by partners.
• Pursue additional service opportunities based on client needs.
• Build and maintain client confidence through quality work and communication.
• Serve as the primary client contact for designated engagements.
