Job summary

SR Staffing in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Senior Assurance Manager on a hybrid schedule to lead audits and related engagements from planning through completion. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives.

Requires a CPA and about 10+ years of progressive accounting/financial leadership. A clear path toward equity partnership is outlined for the next 2–3 years.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
• Experience serving privately held businesses, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and employee benefit plans (preferred).
• Prior experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or similar leadership role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead relationship manager and trusted advisor for clients.
• Lead audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Provide guidance on accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational matters.
• Review financial statements and engagement workpapers for quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning and operational improvement.
• Participate in business development and client growth initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop professional staff.
