Growing Midwest CPA Firm is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements for a diverse roster of privately held and middle-market clients. The role emphasizes client relationships, staff development, and technical excellence in U.S. GAAP and GAAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license required or actively pursuing licensing.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Identify and communicate accounting, financial reporting, and operational risks.
• Provide recommendations to improve internal controls, processes, and financial reporting practices.
• Review financial statements and related disclosures for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountants.
