Job summary

Sorren is seeking an experienced assurance professional to lead complex audits in our Denver, CO office. You will apply GAAP/GAAS, plan engagements, manage budgets, staffing, and risk assessment, and supervise junior staff to ensure timely, high‑quality work.

You’ll foster client relationships, communicate findings clearly, and contribute to project profitability and firm growth. 5–10 years’ experience, CPA or eligible, and a bachelor’s in accounting required; pay range CO $111k–$143k.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of assurance-related work experience.
• CPA license or eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience with audit standards and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage complex engagements and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex assurance projects, including audits and reviews.
• Apply GAAP/GAAS and other frameworks to evaluate risk.
• Plan engagements with budgets, staffing, and scope of work.
• Supervise, train, and mentor team members.
• Monitor progress toward objectives and profitability.
• Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy.
• Prepare management letters and client communications.
• Foster client relationships and ensure expectations are met.
• Contribute to professional development and timely deliveries.
• Meet annual billable hour targets and deadlines.
