Job summary

Sorren is seeking an experienced assurance professional to lead and supervise complex engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations. You will work with clients to address accounting challenges, apply GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and mentor junior team members while ensuring quality and deadlines are met.

The role emphasizes strong technical skills, effective communication with clients, and the ability to manage multiple engagements with adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA license or eligibility is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise complex assurance engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Address complex accounting issues such as consolidations and going concern assessments.
• Apply robust knowledge of GAAP/GAAS to audit procedures and conclusions.
• Train, supervise, and mentor junior staff to build team capability.
• Review workpapers, provide feedback, and ensure accurate conclusions.
• Manage engagement budgets and monitor performance against plans.
