Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in Florida is seeking an Assurance Senior to coordinate day-to-day audit activities, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, and to prepare financial statements with disclosures in accordance with GAAP. You will act as the client contact for basic inquiries and may participate in reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements.

The role requires CPA eligibility, strong audit experience, and knowledge of SEC/PCAOB guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, required OR Bachelor’s degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Master’s degree in Accountancy, preferred
• Two (2) or more years of prior relevant audit experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment, required and actively pursuing completion of the exams, required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day audit duties including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and document internal controls
• Communicate with clients and serve as client contact for basic questions
• Assist in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements
• Supervise and review the work of audit staff
• Apply SEC and PCAOB guidelines in engagements
• Utilize BDO standards and audit methodologies during engagements
