Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an experienced auditor to join the Asset Management and Private Equity Funds practice. You will audit private equity funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, SBICs and related vehicles, applying GAAP/GAAS and SEC guidance to complex financial statements.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating audit plans, and communicating findings to engagement leaders. A CPA is preferred, with 2+ years in asset-management audits and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Master's degree in Accountancy preferred.
• Two or more years of experience auditing asset managers/onshore/offshore fund vehicles and knowledge of industry regulations is required.
• One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA, preferred; CPA licensure actively pursued required.

Responsibilities

• Audit planning and execution for asset management clients.
• Document and assess internal controls; communicate improvements.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures and apply GAAP/GAAS.
• Coaching and supervising audit staff on engagements.
