Job summary

HBK CPA is a growing Top 50 accounting firm known for its client relationships and extensive services in financial and advisory sectors. We seek a seasoned Audit professional with 3+ years in public accounting, strong audit leadership, and CPA timing readiness to join our Frederick team.

You will review complex engagements, supervise staff, and contribute to high-quality financial statements and tax considerations for clients ranging from individuals to mid-size businesses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience, specializing in Assurance/Audit.
• Competent working knowledge of accounting and auditing practices.
• Experience planning and supervising audit and large review engagements.
• Experience with employee benefit plans and/or Single Audits desirable.
• CPA required or obtained within a reasonable time after hire.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts receivable for collectability and adequacy of loss provisions.
• Trace inventory items from initial count to final record.
• Obtain representation letters from the client.
• Take ownership of engagement and meet or beat deadlines.
• Review internal control and assess control effectiveness.
• Investigate unrecorded revenues.
• Classify accounts for financial statement presentation.
• Supervise large inventory counts and assess obsolescence.
