Job summary

HBK is seeking a skilled tax professional to join our Maryland team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in public accounting with a CPA or CPA-in-progress, capable of researching complex issues and guiding staff on engagements, including tax return preparation.

Qualifications

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA with plan to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience with tax focus.
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and guide staff on engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and/or deliver tax returns and accounting projects with Partners/Senior Managers.
• Lead and supervise internal team members to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate large client engagements including problem identification and tax planning.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and apply technical trainings.
