Job summary

Hill, Barth & King LLC (HBK) is seeking a qualified Audit/Assurance professional with 3+ years of public accounting experience in a growing firm. The role emphasizes planning, supervising audits, and reviewing complex engagements for high-net-worth clients and larger reviews.

You will work with a collaborative team in Maryland, with opportunities for career growth and engagement leadership. A CPA credential or eligibility is required or expected shortly after hire.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience with Assurance/Audit.
• Experience with employee benefit plans and/or Single Audits desirable.
• CPA required or obtained within a reasonable time after hire.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts receivable for collectability and adequacy of loss provisions.
• Supervise large inventory counts and verify valuation.
• Prepare complicated tax returns, including consolidated or dissolution scenarios; provide planning ideas.
• Draft management letters and supervise engagement teams; monitor budgets and deadlines.
