Job summary

HBK is actively seeking a candidate to join our team in a full-time role starting January 2027. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting and is pursuing CPA certification.

Public accounting experience is preferred, with strong writing, presentation, and communication skills to engage with clients and staff alike. We value team players who are detail oriented and capable of handling accounting and audit software, including QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Working toward CPA certification.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and clients.
• Working knowledge of accounting and audit software; QuickBooks proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' needs, industry context, and GAAP/GAAS issues.
• Develop understanding of audit approach and tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate internal controls.
• Perform analytics, substantive tests, and tests of internal controls.
• Draft financial statements.
