Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a senior banker to join the Relationship Lending Group focused on Natural Resources. You will own front-to-back execution, drive deal structuring, underwriting, and closing, and serve as a resource to junior team members while coordinating with internal and external partners.

The role requires a strong background in energy, oil & gas, power and renewables, metals, and mining, and a track record of managing multiple deals from inception to close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other quantitative discipline.
• 5–7 years’ financial services experience in corporate lending or financial services.
• Extensive knowledge of Natural Resources sector (energy, oil & gas, power, renewables, metals, mining).
• Strong financial modelling with covenant framework experience.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive deal execution: structure, underwrite, and close relationship-based lending transactions including ABL, RBL, term loans, and letters of credit across syndication and bilateral lending.
• Lead multiple deals, coordinating with internal teams and external counterparts; escalate significant issues with recommendations.
• Engage with syndication banks, borrowers, and external counsel to shape commercial terms.
• Provide analytical takeaways and portfolio reporting for senior management.
