Job summary

CohnReznick in New York City is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Transaction Advisory Services practice. You will support buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements across multiple industries and interact with clients and team members.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, strong Excel and PowerPoint, and 2+ years in audit or transaction advisory, with knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS and SEC reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• CPA and other relevant professional certifications preferred.
• Strong current knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions.
• 2+ years of audit and/or transaction advisory experience in various industries.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers.
• Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings across industries.
• Coordinate with team and management regarding client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines.
• Effectively write and communicate engagement reports and deliverables to client management.
