Zoetis Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist in Biologicals Process Development to advance analytical testing supporting vaccine projects from early research through late-stage development.

The role emphasizes immunoassay and/or bioanalytical work, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment. Strong documentation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in microbiology, immunology, virology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, veterinary sciences, animal science or related discipline.
• Minimum of two years of industry experience.
• Experience in bacterial or viral characterization; strong documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform biologics platform techniques: bacterial/viral titration, ELISA, western blotting, SDS-PAGE, PCRs, immunofluorescence, Octet, and inactivation assays.
• Conduct Metabolite Analysis (Cedex, Nova2, Rebel) and Endotoxin testing.
• Scale up titration assays and DNA purification using available automation.
• Prepare reagents, media, buffers; manage lab supplies.
• Document results in ELNs, prepare reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with Analytical Sciences, Process Development, and Biological Research.
