Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain major gifts portfolios and donor pipelines in CRM systems.
  • Track donor movement through all fundraising stages: identification to stewardship.
  • Monitor pipeline activity and ensure timely follow-up on engagement plans.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly pipeline reports, dashboards, and analyses.
  • Support Women’s Leadership Board members and collaborate with the Board Director.
  • Develop internal relationships to support program ideation and building.
  • Assist in planning and execution of Women’s Campaign educational programs and fundraising events.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and tracking systems for fundraising initiatives.
  • Create processes that improve donor lifecycle efficiency and accountability.
  • Coordinate activities among staff and lay leaders; support donor events and briefings.

Your Department

The Development team strategically plans, organizes, and executes fundraising initiatives to secure financial support for the organization's mission and activities. This includes cultivating strong relationships with donors, executing events, implementing campaigns, and ensuring effective stewardship of contributions. We collaborate with regional offices to support and improve fundraising operations at the local level, expanding the organization's reach and impact.

Your Impact

AJC seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Associate to support the growth and management of its women’s campaign and major donor fundraising efforts in support of AJC’s institutes. Working closely with National Development leadership, this individual will serve as a central coordinator for Women’s Leadership Board programs and institute major gift initiatives by ensuring the effective management of donor pipelines, stewardship activities, and research projects that advance fundraising goals.

The ideal candidate is a skilled project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and is passionate about ensuring operational excellence behind high-impact donor relationships. They are equally comfortable managing data, tracking deadlines, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring that no donor opportunity falls through the cracks.

This role is critical to maintaining accountability and designed to free frontline fundraisers to spend more time cultivating and soliciting donors while ensuring that pipeline management, stewardship execution, and project coordination are performed at the highest level.

Your Role
Institute Major Gifts & Individual Gifts Pipeline Management
  • Maintain and manage major gifts portfolios and prospect pipelines in CRM systems.
  • Track donor movement through all stages of the fundraising cycle, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Monitor pipeline activity and ensure timely follow-up on donor engagement plans.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly pipeline reports, dashboards, and portfolio analyses.
Programming
  • Support Women’s Leadership Board members, working closely with the Women’s Leadership Board Director.
  • Develop internal relationships across AJC to support the ideating and building of these important programs.
  • Support Women’s Leadership Board Director in planning and execution of Women’s Campaign educational programs and fundraising initiatives including any annual fundraising event planning.
Project Management & Execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and tracking systems for fundraising initiatives.
  • Create systems and processes that improve operational efficiency and accountability throughout the donor lifecycle.
  • Coordinate activities among professional staff and lay leaders as needed.
  • Support donor events, leadership briefings, and cultivation opportunities.
Donor Strategy & Research Support
  • Conduct preliminary donor and prospect research.
  • Assist in preparing donor profiles, briefing documents, meeting materials, and solicitation strategies.
  • Coordinate follow-up resulting from donor meetings and strategy discussions.
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Schedule donor meetings and internal strategy sessions.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting summaries, and follow-up tracking documents.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and donor files.
  • Assist with budget tracking, proposal management, and gift documentation as needed.
  • Serve as a reliable operational resource to development leadership and fundraising staff.

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 depending on relevant experience and location.
