Job summary

talisman is seeking a Senior Associate to drive the financing of its distributed solar and battery storage portfolio across multiple U.S. markets. This hands-on role reports to the Vice President of Project Finance and works with investment, development, legal and management teams.

You will manage the financing lifecycle from lender outreach to closing, build detailed models, and negotiate term sheets. Strong analytical, deal-management and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in renewable energy project finance or related field.
• Experience executing and closing project finance transactions involving debt, tax equity, or both.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and transaction-management skills.
• Working knowledge of renewable energy financing structures and project-level agreements.
• Ability to manage multiple transaction workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of project-level debt and tax equity financings for distributed solar and battery storage assets.
• Manage financing processes from lender outreach through due diligence, documentation, closing, and funding.
• Build and maintain detailed project finance models covering construction, operations, capital structure, tax benefits, and returns.
• Evaluate financing structures and optimize debt capacity, tax equity proceeds, risk allocation, and portfolio economics.
• Prepare transaction materials, financial analyses, investment recommendations, and management presentations.
• Coordinate workstreams across internal teams and external advisers (legal, insurance, accounting, tax).
• Review and negotiate term sheets, credit agreements, and tax equity documents with counsel.
• Track milestones, approvals, and conditions precedent to keep financings on schedule.
• Partner with development and investment teams to assess project bankability and resolve issues early.
• Communicate clearly across teams and align stakeholders with different priorities.
• Help establish scalable project finance processes, reporting tools, and strategies as the portfolio grows.
