Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Associate, Production Scheduler to join the Missile Solutions Sector AMF North in Huntsville, AL.

You will oversee shop production schedules, coordinate with Area Manager, and drive data-driven decisions across IPTs to ensure on-time delivery of hardware. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, collaboration across teams, and the ability to work in a dynamic defense environment with access to Power BI, Qlik, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience; graduates with 0–2 years also acceptable; more years preferred.
• Ability to obtain US secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate shop production schedules and dispatch lists to ensure priority of hardware for work centers.
• Performs schedule risk assessments at the operation level and communicates findings.
• Analyze near-term and long-term load using Capacity Qlik and Power BI to balance schedules and reduce bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Team to address issues and meet customer commitments.
• Identify and analyze discrepancies between the Program IMS and Production status and drive closure.
• Support Sales Inventory Operation Planning (SIOP) by analyzing and preparing data.

Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Production Scheduler to join our growing team at the Missile Solutions Sector Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) located in Huntsville, AL.

In this role, you will be part of our Production Scheduling team under the Program Performance organization which plays a key role from proposal to product delivery company wide. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual that has a high level of ability to assess requirements and make data driven decisions. Candidates will work in a dynamic position and interface directly with Internal and External customers across a diverse product range.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for creating and communicating shop Production Schedules and dispatch lists to ensure priority of hardware for work centers in accordance with schedule demands. Partner with the Area Manager to manage workload order and hardware execution.
• Performs comprehensive schedule assessments and identifies schedule risk at the operation level.
• Analyze near and long-term load reviews for valleys or peaks in the schedules using the Capacity Qlik and Power BI Applications, along with throughput metrics, to ensure a balanced schedule. Aim to minimize or reduce bow waves or bottlenecks.
• Work collaboratively with Integrated Product Team (IPT) to address issues, solve problems and strategize to ensure we are meeting our customer commitments.
• Identifies and analyzes discrepancies or gaps between the Program IMS & Production status.
• Understands key metric outputs and can articulate discrepancies and drive gaps to closure.
• Supports Sales Inventory Operation Planning (SIOP) activities by analyzing and preparing data.
• Ability to obtain US secret security clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior manufacturing experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior manufacturing experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Technical knowledge of propulsion, explosive and pyrotechnic devices, tactical weapons, missile & munitions fuzes and strategic deterrence.
• Oracle, Delmia, or Windchill experience.
• Ability to use technical knowledge and experience to evaluate plans, processes and results of the supporting team.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, strong leadership skills, and interpreting program management, engineering and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment with minimal guidance.
• Working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment including program planning, integrated master scheduling and budgeting.
• Experience with team building, leadership and delegation skills to achieve project objectives.
• Experience in leading, encouraging, reviewing and criticizing work of supporting team members to maximize program success.
• Capable of defining and negotiating task objectives, scope description and completion criteria for specific and broad activities as well.
• Working capability in the use of office computer programs such as MS PowerPoint (presentations, logic diagrams), MS Project (basic scheduling), MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), and MS Word (tables, program plans).
