Job summary

Ares Management is seeking a Portfolio Compliance professional to lead the oversight framework for a global platform. You will translate complex investment guidelines into practical compliance rules and work with Portfolio Management, Legal, and Tech to scale operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring across portfolios, addressing exceptions, and driving automation and process improvements with data teams. Strong communication with senior stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in portfolio compliance or related operations.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Technology).
• Experience with portfolio compliance monitoring platforms (Allvue preferred).
• Proven track record resolving complex compliance exceptions and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own the portfolio compliance oversight framework for a global platform.
• Interpret guidelines and regulatory requirements into actionable compliance rules and controls.
• Lead daily pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring across portfolios.
• Review exceptions and escalate material issues with corrective actions.
• Oversee coding, testing, and validation of new/updated compliance rules.
• Collaborate with Technology and Data to modernize the operating model.
