Job summary

Huck’s Market is seeking a Senior Associate to oversee shift operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and support store management. The role emphasizes leadership, standards compliance, and efficient store upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gives customers prompt and courteous service using the gasoline intercom and adheres to Best In Class standards
• Observes shift hours as assigned; helps fill shifts
• Works the manager's days off and at least two evening shifts per week
• Performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager
• Communicates effectively with store associates and management
• Follows federal, state, and local laws pertaining to store operation
• Provides a role model of conduct for other associates
• Ensures Store Manager is aware of sales, cash, or operating discrepancies
• Ensures associates are in proper uniform and provide prompt, courteous service
• Completes shift-change reports and records hours worked
• Rings all sales as per policy and training manuals
• Records over rings and refunds accurately
• Completes daily paperwork and makes store deposits
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect using proper personnel management techniques
• Advises Store Manager of personnel issues or violations affecting store performance
• Ensures all shift procedures are followed and the shopping environment is safe
• Keeps store stock fully stocked and fronted; reads pricing correctly for all merchandise
• Maintains store appearance, floors, windows, and cleanliness
• Reports maintenance problems to the Store Manager
• Follows sanitation procedures in food service areas
• Promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers; explains benefits and assists sign-up
• Monitors transactions for misuse of points or discounts
• Promotes app usage for discounts and redemptions
