Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Equity Asset Management team, supporting a portfolio of multifamily and student housing investments across the United States. The role emphasizes executing business plans, driving asset performance, and coordinating with operating partners.

You will analyze portfolio results, prepare investment materials, and contribute to capital improvements and dispositions while tracking market trends and optimizing returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in asset management, acquisitions, real estate private equity, or real estate investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with multifamily and/or student housing investments needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial and operational performance of multifamily and student housing assets.
• Analyze monthly operating results, budgets, forecasts, and business plan execution.
• Partner with third-party property managers to improve occupancy, revenue growth, and operating efficiency.
• Prepare asset reviews, hold/sell analyses, investment committee materials, and investor reporting.
• Support capital improvement initiatives, refinancings, recapitalizations, and dispositions.
• Track market fundamentals, competitive properties, and portfolio performance trends.
• Conduct property visits and participate in operating and strategic planning meetings.

• Base Salary: $140,000 - $160,000


• Bonus: 35% - 45%
