Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Development Officer, the Senior Associate, Marketing & Communications plays a key role in advancing Lifelong’s brand, voice, mission, and visibility across internal and external audiences. They will partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing, communications, and fundraising campaigns and initiatives that increase philanthropic support, earn event revenue, strengthen market presence, and drive awareness of our mission to make health and food accessible.

This regular, full-time, non-exempt, non-union role has a pay range of $28.85/hr - $40.86/hr and is based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, with onsite presence required at least three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).

Responsibilities
  • Manage marketing and communications projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met while coordinating with cross-functional teams and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
  • Write clear, compelling, and donor-centered copy for fundraising appeals, campaigns, and digital channels that inspire action and directly support revenue goals in partnership with the development team
  • Manage communications and logistics with corporate volunteer groups to deliver impactful engagement opportunities and showcase their contributions to Lifelong's mission
  • Lead content initiatives, partnering with creative, amplifying Lifelong’s brand and mission across audiences, including donors, clients, colleagues, and policymakers
  • Build and manage the agency’s social and e-mail calendar to engage current stakeholders and attract prospective supporters
  • Partner closely with fundraising/development and special events to develop and execute bold and creative marketing and communications campaigns that support revenue-generating efforts, increase Lifelong’s visibility across target demographics, and position Lifelong at the forefront of the mission to make health and food accessible
  • In partnership with creative, support program leadership (case management, food/nutrition, aging & disability services) in the development and production of high-quality marketing materials that highlight their programs
  • Collaborate with external agency consultants to drive press coverage to events and highlight initiatives, coordinating incoming media requests, organizing talking points for senior staff, and pitching potential stories to relevant reporters and outlets
  • Support internal communications logistics across All-Staff e-mails, Town Halls, and agency-wide events
  • Assist with strategic communications plans and campaign development, brand messaging, digital experience, research, and both proactive and reactive media relations
  • Support executive communications initiatives across speaking engagements, thought leadership opportunities, media engagement, and internal departmental and agency-wide communications
  • Evening and weekend work required; travel as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or combination of related education and work experience (agency, consumer/CPG, health, or lifestyle experience is preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal, and inter-departmental with the ability to present across teams and with senior leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a cross-functional team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The role requires regular interaction with colleagues, leadership, and external stakeholders. The position may involve occasional evening or weekend work to support organizational activities or events, as well as limited travel as needed.
