Job description

Carmel Partners, one of the nation’s leading specialists in real estate investment management, with expertise in the investment, development and construction of multifamily real estate, is seeking a Senior Associate, Investor Services in our San Francisco Office. The Investor Services Team sits underneath the Investor Relations team at Carmel Partners.

Carmel's Investor Relations team is the connective tissue between the Firm and the institutional investors whose capital funds everything we build. The Senior Associate sits at the center of that work: shaping how Carmel's strategy, performance and story reach a sophisticated investor audience and owning the systems and materials the team relies on to do it. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this is a high-visibility role for someone who wants deep exposure to institutional capital, real estate investment strategy and Firm leadership – and who takes pride in work that is both intellectually rigorous and impeccably executed.

What you’ll do

Craft the materials that shape how institutional investors see Carmel – fund marketing collateral, quarterly investor communications and presentations used by senior leadership – bringing a strong point of view on content, design and messaging

  • Support SVP as a trusted point of contact for a sophisticated institutional investor base, fielding and resolving diligence questions, data requests and ad-hoc inquiries with precision and judgment
  • Support the Firm's capital raising efforts end-to-end: building fundraising materials, facilitating fund offering documents process and preparing the qualitative and quantitative research that informs prospecting strategy
  • Partner directly with the SVP on investor events – owning project management from concept through execution, including the materials that go with them
  • Identify and lead process improvements across the department, turning manual work into scalable systems as the team and the platform grow
  • Own the data infrastructure behind investor relationships – CRM, Qvidian, Preqin/Evestment, the Microsoft Office suite and emerging AI tools – keeping records, lists and reporting accurate and audit-ready
  • Help manage the day-to-day operations that keep the function moving, including the IR group inbox, list management and data reconciliation
What you’ll bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, business or economics; MBA preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience – private real estate or private equity funds preferred, though we welcome strong candidates from investor relations, investment consulting, asset management, investment banking or fund administration backgrounds
  • A comprehensive understanding of broad financial markets and indices
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully building and managing processes
  • The ability to translate complicated financial data and topics into a concise, consumable format
  • Comfort working with financial data and models, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with emerging data and analytics tools and the ability to leverage data insights to support strategy and operational decision-making
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Who you are
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and the desire to apply excellent technical skills to drive value and shape investment strategy
  • Excellent organization and time management skills – able to manage and execute multiple quantitative projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Values relationships – thrives in a collaborative team setting as well as working independently
  • Demonstrates impeccable integrity and dependable judgment
