Job summary

HelloFresh in Illinois is seeking an onsite HR Generalist to provide broad HR support at our Distribution Center. The role involves training delivery, employee relations, and partnering with the HR Manager on interventions and policy administration.

You will conduct new hire orientations, coach supervisors and associates, and ensure confidentiality while upholding diversity and Open Door values. Weekend swing shifts are required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience in food manufacturing/production, CPG, e-commerce or startup
• Knowledge of recruitment strategies and interviewing techniques
• Experience with employee relations, performance management, and employment laws; confidentiality
• Strong coaching and counseling skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with SHRM/PHR

Job description

This is an onsite position Wednesday to Saturday from 6am to 4pm and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

You will

• Provide generalist support to the facility in all areas of Human Resources
• Assist HR team in administering procedures and policies through the Distribution Center
• Provide training support to all levels of associates
• Ensure Open Door, diversity and other values related issues are resolved
• Collaborate with the HR Manager to conduct interventions, fact-findings and resolve conflicts as they arise
• Conduct new hire orientations
• Provide, monitor, coach and guide technical and nontechnical training for Distribution Center Supervisors and non-exempt associates
• Provide coaching, promote discussions and make recommendations for non-exempt associates' and Supervisors' development needs
• Participate in special projects as assigned

At a minimum, you have

• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources within food manufacturing/production, CPG, e-Commerce or a high growth/startup company
• Knowledge of recruitment strategies and techniques, employment agency methods and operations, developed skill in interviewing techniques
• Working knowledge of employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws; must understand confidentiality
• Solid coaching and counseling skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience with SHRM / PHR
