Job summary

Home Chef in California is seeking an experienced Plant HR Manager to lead the HR function for our manufacturing site. You will partner with centers of excellence and senior leadership to shape people programs and drive employee engagement.

This role requires 5+ years of manufacturing HR experience, 2+ years in HR leadership, and a Bachelor's in HR or related field. You will coach leaders, analyze people metrics, and ensure policy compliance, with ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing HR environment. Prior experience in a startup or high growth organization preferred.
• 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring HR staff
• Completion of a four-year degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
• Excellent coaching, influencing, presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to adapt to changing business and multi-priority environments
• Strong leadership and organizational development skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and/or Google Suite
• Experience in an agile, fast-paced team environment

Detailed Responsibilities

• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to develop and implement HR programs that enhance the work experience for plant employees
• Contribute to the long-term strategic plan and direction of the plant, functioning as part of the site’s senior leadership team
• Establish an inclusive work environment, aligned with the Home Chef culture, that enhances employee experience and increases retention
• Provide coaching and feedback to employees, enabling and empowering them to reach their full potential
• Leverage HR reporting and metrics; analyze data, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions to address business challenges
• Ensure operational excellence to scale the team’s impact; continuously improving the way work is done to allow for greater focus on longer term strategies
• Display business maturity and strong emotional intelligence to coach, develop, influence and counsel mid-level managers and employees.
• Partner with leadership team to optimize organization design, succession planning, and talent retention and development
• Protects interest of employees and the company in accordance with company policies, governmental laws and regulations
• Manage and lead the Plant HR team

This position requires 10% travel.

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.

$130,000 — $150,000 USD
