Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Associate to join its global middle-office function in New York. You will be the primary contact for trading-desk questions and own post-trade reliability, controls and transparency across asset classes.

You’ll collaborate with trading, technology and operations teams to resolve issues, improve workflows and data quality, and develop dashboards and tools that enhance oversight, risk management and continuity of knowledge for evolving investment strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance or related field.
• 5–10 years of financial-operations or trade-support experience.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle (capture, P/L, settlement).
• Experience coordinating front-office enquiries with internal/external stakeholders.

Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm seeking a Senior Associate for its global middle-office function. The team supports the lifecycle of trading activity across multiple asset classes and strategies, connecting the front office with technology and operational teams.

You’ll be a primary contact for trading-desk questions and take responsibility for making post-trade activity reliable, controlled and transparent. Alongside resolving day-to-day issues, you’ll improve workflows, data and monitoring so the operation can support new strategies and asset classes effectively.

The Role

• Act as a primary contact for trading-desk enquiries and coordinate post-trade operations across asset classes and strategies.
• Work with trading, technology and operations teams to resolve issues and strengthen processes, controls and data quality.
• Develop workflows, dashboards and tools that improve oversight of trading activity, operational efficiency and continuity of knowledge.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across the trade lifecycle.
• Contribute to projects that expand middle-office capabilities for new investment strategies or asset classes.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree and five to ten years of relevant financial-operations or trade-support experience.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, P&L, security-master data and settlement.
• Experience handling front-office enquiries and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational problems.
• The ability to design or contribute to dashboards and analytics that provide useful operational insight.
• Clear communication, strong organisation and close attention to detail, combined with a willingness to take ownership.

Familiarity with major financial-data platforms or comparable middle- and back-office tools would be useful.
